Luca's Kindergarten Conferences
We had Luca's Kindergarten conference today and I'm so proud of that little boy! He's doing great in Kindergarten. The teacher said that he is doing well in reading and math. He gets his report card on Friday but she pretty much said he got +'s on everything. I asked if he was on track with his reading and she said he's advanced most of the kids are in the A level reading and he's in the E level! Yay Luca. She said he follows directions, has good manners, listens, plays well with others. She said that he can be a little chatty sometimes but it's very minor. He had a great report and I'm so proud of my little man. He works hard at school. Can't wait to go to his School Halloween Party.

Go, Go Power Rangers!!
Here are the kids in their Halloween Costumes. I had to take some without their masks because I love seeing their beautiful faces.
We watched an episode of Power Rangers so they could do their poses. Luca studied it very well.
Olivia not so much. :) She really wanted to hold a sword! ;) I have to share this story. A couple of weeks ago I had a Moms Night Out with Olivia's Preschool classmates Moms. Corey ended up having both kids and took them to soccer practice. Normally I have Olivia during practice and she will play on the playground while Luca is practicing and Corey is coaching. Since Corey had them both he just had Olivia practice with them. She did very well. All the boys LOVED her and Corey said they kept trying to give her kisses. She talked about Thomas all day the next morning. When we went to Luca's game on Sunday while Thomas was playing in the middle of the game and he even had the ball he stopped in his tracks and said "Hi Olivia." It was SOOOO cute!
I love this.
They are too cute and have been counting down the days for Halloween!!
Look at the air this little girl has!
Luca, too!

Fall Photo Session with MY kiddos!
I have been soo busy with Fall Sessions (23 scheduled this month!) that I realized I haven't really taken many pics of my own kids. So instead of editing, I decided to take 20 minutes to have a little fun with them. They had a blast!
Luca told me today that he was bumped to PINK again on the behavioral chart in class and that he and his friend Ojas were the only ones who got to Pink. He's doing so well in school.
He also told me that one of his classmates Mom was at school to volunteer and he had to read her three books. She said that he was the only one that was able to read the word "Breathing" for the book called "Breathing Under Water" I was so proud of him to hear that he's doing so well with reading.
He brought home another 50+ site words to go over since he knows all the other site words they brought to him last time. I am looking forward to his conferences in Mid November.
Now my Sassy little girl is as sweet as can be.
Now my Sassy little girl is as sweet as can be.
The other day I had to check out he site for a photo session and I had to take O with me, Within 2 minutes of being there she was telling me that she was tired and wanted to go home. This was my only opportunity to check out the location before my photo session and I told her just give me 10 minutes. Then a minute later "I need to go potty." I was so frustrated because it's soo hard trying to "work" while being a stay at home mom. I just can't get tasks done. So I was upset and we went home and she went potty. Then she was drawing and came to me and said "Mommy, how do you spell sorry?" I asked her why and she said she was drawing the picture for her friend and I asked her if she did something to her friend and she said no, that it was a surprise. I was confused and told her she didn't need to apologize to someone if she didn't do anything wrong. Then after I showed her how to spell it she went back to work and wrote sorry on her drawing and gave it to me. I wanted to cry. I asked her why she was sorry and she said "I'm sorry I made you upset at the park (where I was trying to scout out the location). She is the sweetest little girl ever!
And these two are the sweetest siblings ever!
They are so photogenic, and so easy to work with when taking pictures.
I'm thinking about putting this on a cnavas i love it so much, it just makes me happy looking at it.
Pure Joy caught on camera.

My Social Butterfly
Today we had Olivia's pre-school conferences. They went great! The teachers said something like if our classes were all Olivia's we would be happy. She is doing great. They are very impressed with her fine motor skills and showed me how she writes her name well, knows her shapes and can trace well, too. They said she spends most of her time at creative play but also likes to rotate. She plays well with all the other kids both boys and girls and never tattles or has any issues with anyone. She likes to participate and can be a little social butterfly during circle time but overall, she's doing great. I'm so proud of her. Since she had no school today, I had a photo session scheduled with a 12 month old and she came along with me. I told Olivia her job was to make the little boy laugh and she stood right behind me and made goofy faces. The little boy loved her. Toward the end of the shoot she would jump on my back as I was crouching down to take a pic. Other than her almost knocking me down she was a great little helper. I love her so!

It's Fall Y'all
I was so excited that we were able to put on fall clothes, finally! We've been in summer clothes until now!
We were going to a Pumpkin Patch farm with our Moms group.
They are BFF's. I love it.
They are the cutest little things.
Some pics by our tree that is starting to turn colors.
They love taking pictures.
Mommy let's take a picture by the pretty flowers
This little boy is getting soo soo smart! He came home from school the other day and told me all about "Johann Sebastion Bach." And yes he even said the name correctly! He told me how he made his own music and the King was not happy about that. He wore a short wig because they used to wear wigs a long time ago. I can't believe all the stuff he's learning and he even said to me "I love to learn!" Makes my heart soo happy.
I was so glad he had the day off today. His teachers had a diocese conference for 2 days.
Here they are with all their friends. So much fun. They got to pick out a small pumpkin, play in the corn, go through the hay maze, and even get some pumpkin donuts and apple cider.
I need to get better at asking people to take a picture with me and the kids. So, today I did it and in return took a picture of my friend who took this with her kids. :)
Not only is Luca doing well in school, but he's being a good friend to others. He told me about how his classmate when on vacation and he asked him "How was your vacation?" He was genuinely interested. Unfortunately, the boys response was "I don't know." I told Luca that it was great that he's being a good friend. He said "Everyone at school likes me because I am nice to them."
Luca also brings home a weekly chart of how he is doing. Every day they are clipped to "Ready to Learn" and when they are doing good things they can get clipped up and when they are not behaving they clip down. We get a report on each day how they do. We also have to sign it and talk to Luca and ask him what he can do to make wise choices. The other day he said "Be kind to everyone." It was very sweet.
I love that he loves to read. He now reads 2 books every night. I am also so proud of him because they have over 50 sight words at school they need to know. Once they can read the sight word it goes on a ring. The 1st time he brought it home he had about 90% of the words on the ring. The second time he brought it home they were all on the ring. I'm so proud of him.

Mommy's Birthday!
I had a great Birthday yesterday. My kids are the sweetest little kids ever! The night before my Birthday Corey reminded them that my Birthday was the next day so they would remember to tell me Happy Birthday. Luca comes in my room after that and said "Do you know tomorrow is your Birthday?" He's so cute. When I picked him up from school he was holding a piece of paper that was folded and told me that I couldn't see it until I had my cake and that it wasn't for me. At school, he drew three hearts in red, orange and yellow because my Birthday is in the fall and I like fall. It also said momma. So sweet and thoughtful of him to think of me while he was in school.
Corey bought a cake and had the kids help him decorate it. Luca made the flower in blue and Olivia made the pink flower on the bottom.
I was surprised with beautiful flowers from the kids and Corey and also a new Michael Kors purse and wallet!! I had a great day and am excited to celebrate with my girlfriends on Saturday and eat sushi!!

Mommy Brag Moment
I just have to say how proud I am of Luca! He's been doing so well in school and learning so much. He's really getting it. The other day Corey gave him an Ice Cream Sandwich and he said "Me gusto Chocolate'!" It was great that he put together what he's learning in Spanish, I LOVE IT! He also has gotten his Progress Report. It basically had a list of behavioral type things like listening during circle time, etc. There were about 20 different things listed and if he received he check mark it meant that he needed to work on it. HE HAD NO CHECK MARKS!!! I am so proud of him. I had to re-read the instructions to make sure that no check marks meant good. I wish I would've made a copy but we had to sign it and give it back to the teacher. He also brings home sight words and when he knows the sight words the teacher will put it on a ring. He knew most of them! He's doing so well and even reading better, too. What else I am proud is that there was a new boy in school and the teacher had him sit next to Luca and Luca was a good friend to him and made him feel comfortable in class. Corey normally takes him to school in the morning but he was out of town for work the past 2 weeks so I took him. I loved it when I dropped him off at class and everyone was so happy to see him. A little girl came up to him and gave him a hug and I could just tell people were happy to see him. It makes my heart so happy he's doing well. I love that he LOVES school!
