They framed our 2nd floor! I haven't been able to walk through it yet since they haven't built the stairs and I shouldn't climb a ladder in my condition. I am anxious to be able to walk through it hopefully soon.

Today was a gorgeous day. Mid 80's no humidity. Luca and I went to a Birthday party this morning and he was able to play in the kiddie pools with his pals. Afterwards, he went to Grammy & Papi's house so I could go to the doctors. He was even able to swim in their kiddie pool, too. He loved playing with the hose! He got a great tan today, I'm jealous!

I was amazed at how quickly they framed our 1st floor house today! Tomorrow they will be framing the 2nd floor. There was a crew of 10 guys. They are even going to work on Memorial Day. Corey and I are going to bring them lunch on Monday since they are going to work on a holiday.

The framers came to the site today and placed the structural beam and also started working on the floor joists. We should have a floor and some walls up tomorrow.



Took Luca at the mall play area to burn off some morning energy. Then we went to the park this afternoon since it was such a beautiful day out today. Luca loved playing with the tether ball at the park. He's just like his dad.

They poured the concrete floors on the garage and basement. Plus they ended up pouring the crawl space which they weren't supposed to but it's bonus for us b/c we wanted it but didn't have to pay for it! :)

Backfill and basement floor prep (gravel poured in basement and garage) done. I also watched Evie today and tried out my new Peg Perego. It was a beautiful day for a walk and they both enjoyed it.

Plumbing & insulation in the basement is done all inspections passed.

The basement was sealed today they are also working on insulation and plumbing.

They took out the frames for the foundation today. We are hoping to get the basement sealed and the plumbing rough-ins by this week so the inspections can be done and we can start framing next week!

Happy Mother's Day! Today was a great day. I was spoiled with French Toast, Bacon, Strawberries and OJ this morning! Luca gave me a GPS system since I still get lost in Columbus after living here for 9 years! We also had a nice BB-Q at Julie & Kevin's to celebrate Mother's Day with Grammy. It was a great day! As you can see from the pics, I'm getting HUGE & I still have 5 weeks to go! Corey will be a father of 2 on Father's Day! Kind of crazy!

Today Luca said Bubbles and he also can show us how to "drive" a car. Those are his new tricks this week! I love my little boy. ;) Did you notice his 2 front teeth in the pic?

Corey dressed Luca today and we had to take pics because he looks like his nonno. Sweatshorts and a collared shirt tucked in. Too funny, but so cute!

The foundation wall frames are up and they started to pour the concrete walls. Next week they will take the frames off, seal it, pour the concrete floors then backfill the house. The week after next they will be framing the house. It's definitely going by quickly so far. Our contractor, Rob, has an aggressive goal of 4 months. He may actually meet his goal if the weather holds up.

Happy Birthday Mom! Luca had a playdate at our house this morning. Afterwards, we checked out the progress of the house and they were framing the part where they will pour the concrete for the footer. We also have the plumbing fixture appointment today - satin nickel or rubbed bronze? I still don't know what I want!

Corey played Lax at the University of Toledo with his alumni team to play against the active Lax team. He made the winning goal! We also got to visit Aunt Mary & Uncle Chris and they came to the game with us.
