Share
Luca and Olivia both have what they call it at pre-school "Share" almost every week. Share is basically show and tell. Luca's is on every Wednesdays and Olivia's is every other week. On Monday, I was asking Olivia what she wanted to bring to share and Luca interrupts and says "Can I bring Olivia for my share?" He sure loves his best friend!

My little shadow...
I had a photo session the other day which I haven't been busy b/c of the cold weather and since I am a natural light photographer I kept getting people asking me to do pics for them, but I just wasn't comfortable doing them indoors b/c there wasn't enough lighting to get some good quality pics. The only room in our house that has the most windows is our office so I recently purchased a backdrop and Corey and I moved our desk that was in the center of the office against the wall and I made we made my own little studio! We brought the kids into our session b/c the little boy I was taking a pic of wasn't smiling so they said maybe your kids can make them smile. Olivia must have watched me at work b/c after they left, she grabbed her baby and did a photo session on Baby Lily. I love it!
I love how she's taking this pic trying to get a good angle.
Luca wanted to be in the pic so she had another session. She sure is busy!

Wacky Wednesday!
Olivia's class had a Wacky Wednesday theme. Olivia wanted to be a princess/super-hero! She was excited to wear her outfit but then said "I don't want Owen to laugh at me."
Our library had a book club contest. For each book that you read, you get to enter your name in a drawing for a prize. There was one prize for the Pre-K age group. Luca has been able to start reading books lately but sometimes he can get frustrated and will want to give up. I thought this contest would be a great motivator for him and it was! We read A LOT of books and I had to write down the name, author and review of the book. We probably read 100 books in a 3 week time frame and it paid off because LUCA WON!!!!
The two main librarians know the kids by name and they said they were soo excited when they saw that Luca won the drawing. He definitely deserved it. Today he told "My brain has invisible arms and it grabs stuff and puts it in my head so I remember everything."
Shes growling at me. I think she was so confused by her wacky costume that she didn't know what to do.
Whenever I pick up the kids at pre-school I peek in the window while
they are doing their last circle time/show and tell. Today I saw Olivia
raising her hand and her other hand over her mouth to protect her from
shouting a question. She was sitting next to Owen and they were both
being very flirtatious. She would rub/pat his back and he would do the
same. It's cute but also strange how 3 year olds are already flirting!

Comfy, Cozy!
I don't know if it's the weather or what, but Luca has been my little cuddler lately! He just LOVES cuddling with me. The other day he said "Mommy, after pre-school can we cuddle? Just me and you?" He's so sweet and I know in 10 years he won't be asking me this so I thought I'd write this memory down and really enjoy it. I think he likes just talking to me without Olivia distracting or interrupting. It's like our one on one time. He even says the sweetest little things like "I love you so much Mommy! You are so pretty!" So cute! In the mornings when they wake up they always jump in bed with us and we let them watch a couple of cartoons and today I brought them to the bonus room b/c our remote wasn't working. I laid on the couch and Luca came and laid right next to me and cuddled with me the entire time. He's so sweet. He'll say "You're so comfy/cozy!"
I have their yearly books I make for them and yesterday Luca asked me to read it to them. So I went through each book. When I read Olivia's 2 year old interview they would crack up laughing at what she answered. Since Luca is turning 5 I realized I needed to do his 4 year old interview with him so we did it and it was so cute. Every year I put together a book for them for their Birthday but Shutterfly changed up their formats so I had to start from scratch and it's taking me longer than normal to finish it. I will write down his answers to his interview later. It always surprises me how they answer it. You think you really know what they like, until you actually ask them. So much fun. :)

Valentine's Day!
There was a cute little video I saw today on FB of a bunch of little kids getting interviewed on Valentine's Day. So, I wrote down the questions and asked Luca and Olivia, too!
Here it is... What do you love? Luca points at me then he said "I can't stop loving you!" How sweet.
Olivia say "Lilly!" Which is her baby doll.
Have you ever kissed someone?
Luca "You!"
Olivia "Lilly!"
Where do babies come from?
Luca and Olivia "Bellies!"
What does a heart look like?
Luca "A triangle thing on the bottom and thing it goes over and down."
Olivia walked away. :)
Where do parents go on a date?
Luca "A restaurant."
Olivia "Moms Night Out."
When are you getting married? Luca "When you love someone."
Olivia "Owen and Parker."
This is a pic of breakfast. Olivia eats breakfast like a champ! She had oatmeal 1st, then had some cereal while she was waiting for me to make her scrambled egg, heart shaped toast and a banana! She at it all!! She's such a good little eater!
Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Valentine's Party at Pre-School
Olivia has her Valentine's Party at Pre-school today and she was so excited to pass them out. I saw this on pinterest and had to make it. It's a lolly-pop flower. Next year, I'm just buying those pre-made Valentine's cards. This took forever to cut out 14 flowers, print them off, punch holes in them. I also thought it would be cheaper to make it myself... I WAS WRONG! Just the cardstock to make them was $2 plus the suckers and for Luca's I had to buy a special paint pen for him ($8)! What was I thinking? :) Oh well, the kids liked it and it fit their personality. I will show you Luca's on Friday, that's when his Vday party is.
I had Olivia make her teachers a Valentine and we bought them each a small box of chocolates. She was soo excited to give it to them. I love how her teachers react. They were so appreciative and told Olivia it was beautiful and they gave her a big hug and a kiss and they were going to hang her Valentine on their bulletin board. Oliva was so happy. :)

Today Olivia had a little hang nail on her pointer finger. Corey cut off the nail but it was bleeding a little bit so I asked her if she wanted a band aid. She said yes and then said "But how am I going to pick my nose?"
I was eating french fries with Luca and dipped my fries in his ketchup. He didn't like that and got frustrated and upset that I did that. Normally, I would give him the "share" talk but I was just tired and didn't feel like it so I decided to not battle this one and just got up and got my own ketchup. He then looked in my eyes and said "I'm sorry I got upset. " It was a sincere apology that touched my heart.

Valentine's Pictures!
I sure hope you are all ready for some serious cuteness! I had so much fun taking the kids pic and they had a blast, too! We finally had a nice 60 degree day out and figured it was a perfect time to take their Vday pics. It was very overcast and the following day it went down to 16 degrees. Only in OHIO!
Funny thing to remember. Luca and Olivia were jumping on the couch and Corey said "If I have to ask you again to stop jumping on the couch I will put one of your toys in the basement." Luca said "Which toy?" Corey "Your favorite." Luca says with a smile "Olivia is my favorite toy!" He seriously is the funniest little boy I know! Love him!
Isn't he just handsome?
Model material right here.
He told me he was giving me the "I'm watching TV look." So funny.
I hate the way these candies taste but the kids love them. I bought them a couple of weeks ago just for this prop but half of them are gone b/c the kids are addicted to them.
She is my cutie pie!
I took them to Chuck E Cheese to meet up with our friends. On the way home Olivia said "Thank you for taking me to Chuck E Cheese, Mommy." I told her "You're welcome. What was your favorite part?" Thinking she would say one of the games she said "Playing with my friends."
Before we leave Chuck E Cheese we always put the tickets together and split them so the kids can get some small prizes. Olivia got a heart ring which the heart fell off by the time we got home. Corey fixed it when she went to bed and when she woke up the next morning there was a note where she eats breakfast that said "I fixed this for you honey. Love, Papa" I read it to her and she was SOO happy. She said "Did Papa fix it to make me happy?" I said yes!
Then she wanted to write her papa a note. She wrote on a piece of paper (in scribbles) and told me what it said. "Dear Papa, I love you, I want you to stay with me. Thank you for fixing my ring. Olivia." Isn't that sweet? Just as sweet as this precious picture of her blowing me a kiss! ;)
I had bribed them if they did a good job taking pics they would get to wear these super cute mustaches. Oh and I made the heart Olivia is holding. It was super easy and cheap and I got the tip from Pinterest.
I'll always be yours! :)
She makes me smile!
Happy Early Valentine's Day! :)
