Upper Arlington Fall Fest!

Columbus must love Halloween because there are so many activities in the Fall, so many that we can't make them all! The Italian Festival was this weekend, too which I wanted to go to but we had to pick and choose and this event was much better for the kids.

The kids were just walking to the festival, until we turned the corner....
And as you can see they were sprinting to the huge bouncy houses!
This event was definitely better than the Hilliard one that we went to yesterday.
It made me happy to see how happy the kids were.

Luca was so nervous how big this next bouncy house was that he was biting his nails...

I didn't think Olivia was going to be able to climb this thing so they told me I could go to help her but by the time I took my shoes off she was already up there!

Now I wished I could've went down with them, this looks like fun!  And this event was FREE!

I notice in a lot of pictures Olivia points her toes, it's so cute!
Olivia saw this dog and said "Mommy, look at the big bad wolf!"
We took a break from the bouncy house so they could bounce on these little horses.
This one was so huge!  Luca was so good and would climb to the top and would wait for Olivia to climb, too.  He is such a good big brother.
Her upper body is so strong.  Sometimes she would skip putting her foot in place and would just pull herself up.

Remember how I said she likes to point her toes?  Look at this form.
"I DID IT!"
This is a better view of it.

What a fun time!  I'm absolutely exhausted and the kids went to bed and were passed out by 7pm since they bounced for 3 hours.  Luca said "I don't have any energy!"

Homestead Harvest

Today Hilliard was hosting a Fall Family event. The kids had a lot of fun!

I guess back in the "old" days people used to play this bowling game called 9 pin.  People would play it so much they wouldn't work so they outlawed it and then they came up with bowling (10 pins) since they outlawed 9 pins.
Bouncy Houses, one of the kids favorite things!
They even ran into one of their friends, Drew and his twin sister and brother, too!
Train Ride.  We let the kids go all by themselves (although, our friend Amanda was sitting across from them with her kids) it was so cute how excited they were to ride without us.  They are getting so big.
Hayride!

Luca picked the smallest pumpkin in the field.
Then he was showing off how "strong" he was that he could hold the pumpkin in one hand.
Olivia has this look on her face becuase she picked a bigger one and said "Too heavy!"
And they had this cool scarecrow!  It was a gorgeous day out today, in the 80's a perfect day for this beautiful event!  And we are off to another one in Upper Arlington tomorrow! :)

I went to my friend Erin & Jim's Barbeque today.  We decided not to go as a family because honestly, it is stressful taking both kids to a non-kid friendly home.  So I decided to take just Luca with me since he's pretty well behaved and can go with the flow. Olivia is in this stage of if she wants something she shows everyone that she wants her way by throwing a little trantrum.  When I got home Corey told me he took Olivia fishing because she asked him to go.  Yesterday Corey took Luca fishing and Olivia and I just watched for a little bit, but she never asked to fish, she just sat on a stone and watched and played with her Toy Story figures.  Well, when Corey when outside to get the mail Olivia said "I wanna go fishing!  I want a catch a fish, a pink fish and a purple fish, that's my favorite color!"  She caught TWO fish and had some nice bonding time with her Papa!

Professional Pictures

We did a professional photoshoot in April as a gift for my parents 40th Anniversary and we also did one in July as a Xmas present for Corey's parents. We finally got the pictures from the July photo shoot and I wanted to post some of my favorite pictures from both photo shoots since I realized I never did post any on here from April.

I like the artistic side of this photo.

Luca looks like he's up to something in this picture...
This one is sweet.

Seriously, she has to snack during an expensive photo shoot?

 My favorite Cinquemani Family photo.
My favorite family photo from this photographer.
He's definitely a lot more photogenic than Olivia.

I love this one from the 2nd photographer

This is also a great family photo everyone is looking at the camera except Luca!
This is my favorite one, just wish Luca would've looked up!
I like this but it looks like Corey and I each have one leg.  I guess you can't ever get a perfect family photo when you've got two little ones!
Now I need to figure out which ones I want to frame? Suggestions anyone? I've bought a bunch of frames to put on the stairway wall for the entrance that I would like to do sometime.

Beautiful Fall Day!

Today was such a gorgeous fall day! We originally were planning on going to the zoo, but instead, I decided to take some pictures of the kids. We've had two professional photographers take pictures of the family and even though we liked some pictures, we didn't get a good shot of both kids together AND a good family shot. I took some pictures outside with my camera and then went to my friend, Sam's house. He has photoshop and I was so happy with how this picture turned out that I am going to frame this one in the house for sure! I would love to take a photography class and even get photoshop and take a class on that too.

Luca and I have been practicing the piano since we have a keyboard at home. In piano class they are trying to learn Mary had a little lamb. He can play 10 notes, so far, which is about half the song. I'm hoping if we can keep practicing every day he'll get it! It's amazing how much your kids can do if you really work on it with them but it does take lots and lots of patience. Olivia can recognize almost all the letters of the alphabet, too. I will have to take some video soon of their new skills! :)

Home Depot

Yesterday was my 33rd Birthday and I woke up not feeling well. I think it could have been because the window in our room was open and it was really cold that night so I didn't feel well and Corey took the kids to Home Depot for their monthly kids workshop and they each made a helicopter.

Later we went to get some sushi with some friends for dinner. I'm a little sad that I don't have any pictures to share but I did take some great shots of my sweet kids as always! :)

Fffffiderman!

I have no pictures, just a story to share.  My MNO (Moms Night Out) is every Thursdays and since I go out to eat I don't like to cook dinner on Thursdays and so I told Corey we should take the kids to Chic Fil A b/c Thursdays they get a free kids meal.  Well, Spider man was there and Luca has been really into Super Heroes lately and he was SOO excited to see him!  Spider man came up to him and gave him a high five and he went to give O a high five and she started to shake and her bottom lip stuck out and she started to cry and screamed "I want my baby!"  (Her baby is her lovey that she sleeps with and takes around the house with her everywhere).  She didn't want anything to do with spider man but she wanted to see where he went.  He kept waving to her and we kept telling her spider man is nice.  Finally, she warmed up to him and gave him a high five and said "Ffffider man is really nice. I need to go potty.  Fffider man take me?"  I was like no Spider man is not taking you to the potty only mommy and papa take you to the potty.  I told the kids if they ate all their meal they could take a picture with Spider man.  So after they ate Corey took a pic of them with his phone and Luca started to ask him questions.  He wanted to know where his car was.  He also asked him "what are you going to be for Halloween?" He is so social and isn't afraid to talk to anyone.  I like that because I was always shy and I think being social is such a good quality.

Little Ms. Independent!

Olivia loves getting her picture taken.  She will stand and smile and then run to the camera to see it and then will run back and tell me to take another picture.  It's too funny!

Luca does the same thing.
They planned this out and wanted to have their eyes closed in the picture.
I normally take showers either at night or at the gym since I just can't seem to take showers with the kids around b/c my showers will end quickly and abruptly.  The other day I didn't get a chance to shower at the gym so I decided to shower at home during the day and I put a few puzzles out in my bathroom so I could keep my eye on the kids.  Of course as soon as I lathered my hair in soap Olivia says "I need to poop!" And when she needs to poop, she needs to poop now.  So I asked Luca if he could take Olivia to their bathroom and help her and surprisingly, he did.  He helped pull her pants down and put the bench in front of the toilet for her.  Then he left her a lone for a few minutes and asked her if she pooped.  Then he ran back to my bathroom and said "She pooped, Mommy!"  I asked "in the toilet?"  By that time I was done and was able to help her and since then Olivia will no longer tell me she needs to poop she will tell Luca.  As I was washing dishes today they were playing and all of the sudden I heard the fan turn on in the bathroom.  I asked Luca why he turned the fan on and he said Olivia's pooping.  Olivia came out with her pants down and said "I pooped!"  I love how they can rely on each other for help and they are both becoming more independent.

We Love the Fall!

We took the kids to Fall Festival Fun Day today. We had to eat lunch in the car since the festival started at noon and we wanted to get back home for naptime. I love that Columbus has so many events for kids in the fall.  I think we could probably go to an event every weekend until Halloween. Luca was calling Olivia "We're going to see a witch!"

"I heard the turtle lady will be there....I wonder if she'll bring her frog, too?"

Not only was there a witch but there was a pumpkin, too!  I'm surprised they weren't scared of the witch.
Olivia was so excited to see that the turtle lady brought a frog, Luca is more like me and was a little scared.

The frog liked Olivia.
Does Luca look afraid here?
Luca shouting "Happy Halloween!"
I love fall weather, pumpkins, mums, scarecrows, and the beautiful leaves.

Luca holding the witch's hand.
Luca didn't take a nap today and he asked Corey "Can we go for a bike ride?"  Corey said "How about we go fishing?"  Luca said "How about we go for a bike ride and then go fishing?  That sounds like a good idea!"  He such a good negotiator, so smooth!  Olivia said something funny today, too and now I can't think of it!! :(
